I teach Art 1A, Art 1B, and Ceramics & Sculpture. I have been teaching at Greene for sixteen years now. I love working with Greene's talented students in creating truly expressive and interesting artwork. A little bit of personal background: I received my BA in Drama and Philosophy from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, and my MFA in sculpture from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. I completed my California state teaching credential at San Francisco State University. I completed my student teaching at Gunn High School in Palo Alto. Prior to coming to Greene, I taught for two years in grades 1-8 at St. Joseph’s School in Atherton, and for one year in grades 1-8 at Emerson School in Palo Alto. I have had a sculpture studio in Hunters Point Shipyard in San Francisco for 20 years, where I create sculpture in a variety of media. I am also an avid photographer with a focus on aerial drone photography, landscapes, architecture, and street photography. I have exhibited my work throughout the Bay Area and regionally across the US, and regularly participate in San Francisco Open Studios. Two of my sculptures have a permanent home in the Greene Library garden! Class and Art Program Links: Greene Middle School Visual and Performing Arts Page Museum links: The
